I thought I had a problem with my transmission and checked out Williams Automotive & Transmission after reading reviews on Yelp. Reviews were true. Staff was very honest and professional. They told me they found no problem with my transmission. Changed my fluid and conducted diagnostics. Refused to charge me for service I did not need. As a widow whose husband always handled automotive issues, it was so refreshing to find trustworthy service. I will definitely use this service in the future

I can strongly say that I highly recommend this transmission shop. As a local here in Napa who needed assessment of my suvs transmission I brought it to Williams on the recommendation from a friend. They were patient, knowledgeable, and wonderful to deal with. The price I paid in the end was actually less than what I expected. For all service beyond the original new vehicle warranty, Williams Automotive has been the only company to work on the transmission of my every day driver, a 1991 Chevrolet PU now with 314k miles on it. While always delivering on my expectations, Williams outdid themselves on this last service. The transmissin performs strong and smooth, as if it was brand new!

These guys saved the day! I rolled into town from San Diego on New Years Eve in my 30ft motorhome. I had some concerns about the transmission and searched for a place in town with good reviews. To make a long story short a transmission shop in SD never re-installed a trans filter when they serviced my trans which destroyed my transmission. These guys got me back on the road with a rebuilt trans in under 3 hours. If this shop couldn't get this done that day I would've had to wait until Monday as everything was closed until the following week due to the holiday.

These guys also due a great service for the local community by collecting used medical equipment for use by people that can't afford to pay for them.
